THE city's boating community will be quizzed on their housing needs as part of the council's Local Plan.
Boat dwellers will be surveyed over accommodation type, moorings, facilities and amenities, local services, health, education, employment and future needs.
Oxford City Council also wants to find out the demographic of the city's boaters.
It said the survey would determine the current and future accommodation requirements of boat dwellers and the difference between need and demand.
The consultation will begin later this month and is being conducted by RRR Consultancy, which the council said had significant experience working with boat dwellers.
