CYCLISTS completed the sun-soaked Betjeman bike ride this weekend and raised money for Wantage's Betjeman Park.
A small group, led out for the sixth time by Cycling UK Wantage Chairman John Tranter, bypassed the England World Cup match to take advantage of the sunny conditions and empty route.
New and returning cyclists took part in the gentle ride to Uffington from the park, before indulging in well deserved tea and cake at St. Mary's Church.
Part of the Wantage Summer Arts Festival, the afternoon event was sponsored by a host of local companies.
Chairman Mr Tranter described the weather as 'definitely the most perfect ever'.
