Unfortunately, visitors will have to take two replacement bus services to get to the weekend event from Oxford, as trains are not running.

The hour-long journey will see commuters change buses at Hanborough before arriving at Charlbury for the free music festival.

Riverside runs from midday until 10pm today and 11am until 8pm tomorrow.

Families can enjoy more than 40 acts across three stages, children’s entertainment, storytelling, music workshops, a crafts section and refreshments.

Meanwhile in Oxford, the Town Hall will welcome hundreds of visitors searching for a few glasses of fine fizz.

The Prosecco Festival takes place over two sessions: one from 12.30pm - 5pm, and the other from 6.30pm - 11pm.

Herald Series:

The festival is part of a nationwide tour, featuring 40 combinations of sparkling wine-based cocktails and Italian street food.

In East Oxford, part of Hurst Street is closed to make way for crowds of pub-goers at the Rusty Bicycle pub's annual street party.

A secret music headliner is gearing up for the popular pub’s free party, which takes place today from midday until late.

Music includes a mystery headliner and attendees can enjoy plenty of food and craft beer.

If you are in search for something a bit more peaceful, perhaps the British Cactus and Succulent Society's annual show could prove to be a good pick.

There will be more than 60 stalls, fairground rides, a dispay of 100 classic vehicles, live music and dancing, a wide variety of craft beers and ciders as well as wine and food.

The event is free to attend and raises money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance, also featuring bands, comedians, dancers, stalls, craft beers and ciders, and classic transport.

Families can also pop along to the launch of the Lego Expo in Wantage today, hosted by the Vale and Downland Museum.

In South Oxfordshire, family fun and a special footballer guest will feature at a pub fundraiser.

Former Chelsea player Peter Rhoades-Brown, who is now business development manager at Oxford United, will open a family fun day at the England’s Rose in Postcombe.

The pub, situated between Chalgrove and Thame, is hosting all-day activities including a table-top sale, barbecue, car boot sale, music, raffle and games.

It has been organised by the pub’s landlady to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society charity, in tribute to one of her friends.
