ENTRIES for September 2019 secondary school places in Oxfordshire are set to open today.

Online admissions forms should be available on Oxfordshire County Council's website, and parents can apply for three different schools for their child, in order of preference.

Entries close on October 31.

For families wanting to apply for a place at the Swan School, which is still due to open in 2019 despite being refused planning permission last week, a separate form will be published on the school's website.

They should do this alongside the three choices also submitted to the council.

The River Learning Trust, which will run the school, has said that applications for Swan School will not influence the council's own separate process.

Successful pupils can then choose between the Swan School and the council's own allocation.

From 2020, if the Swan School opens as hoped next year, the council will add it to its list of secondary school options and parents can choose it as one of their three options.
