POWER has been restored to most of the 1,000 homes affected by a power cut in south Oxfordshire this evening.
A High Voltage (HV) fault in the Abingdon area at 3.45pm left properties across nearby Marcham without power.
Most homes had returned to normal by 6.30pm, but 16 customers will have to wait until 10pm for power to be restored.
The cause of the issue is still unknown.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said: "We have restored power to all but 16 properties as of 6.30pm.
"We would like to apologise for the interruption and thank customers for their patience.”
