FIVE vehicles and £27,000 of criminal property have been seized after police arrest eight people in two-day drug operation.

The eight arrests, including one 17-year-old, were made after Thames Valley Police conducted a series of 'drug disruption' activities in Abingdon, Didcot and Wallingford.

This included drug warrants and vehicle checks on Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27.

Police seized the five vehicles and some £27,000 worth of criminal property and drugs.

South & Vale Neighbourhood Inspector, Adrian Hall said: "These two days of action highlight the organised criminal activity that exists across the local police area.

"Through these activities, the local ‘Stronghold’ team, Neighbourhood teams and the Joint Operations Unit targeted those responsible and acted on information that was provided by the public.

"We are dedicated to disrupting this type of offending and protect those affected by it.

"By working together we can help to keep our community safe. You provide our eyes and ears on the ground, so if you see or hear anything unusual or suspicious, please report it to us either via our website or call 101."
