ELECTRIC vehicles will be showcased for shoppers in Oxford’s Bonn Square.
The Electric Vehicle Discovery Experience will take place in the square opposite the entrance to the Westgate Centre on Saturday, October 27.
Experts will be available from 10am to 5pm to drivers considering switching to electric vehicles.
Some of the best electric cars on the market will be on display, including BMW i3, Jaguar I-PACE, Nissan Leaf, Renault ZOE, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X.
Drivers will have the chance take a close look at the vehicles, and book test drives.
The event, being organised by Octopus Electric Vehicles, brings offers to buy or lease, and then run, the world’s best electric vehicles. Octopus Electric Vehicles CEO Fiona Howarth, said: “We are looking forward to helping Oxford move to zero-carbon transportation.”
The city council is proposing a Zero Emission Zone, banning certain vehicles from six streets by 2020.
