A LANE on the M40 was blocked between Bicester and Banbury after a vehicle smashed into the central reservation.
One lane of three was blocked this afternoon after the vehicle struck the barrier and came to a stop, causing debris to scatter across the road.
Traffic was slow on the northbound carriageway between Fritwell and King's Sutton and queues were stretching back for five miles at 2pm, but all delays have since cleared.
Update: All lanes now open #M40 #Oxfordshire northbound between J10 #Ardley and J11 #Banbury following the earlier collision involving 1 car. Delays should now begin to ease. pic.twitter.com/0YlYkDNWor
