RESIDENTS are being given a chance to have their say on the latest large new housing estate planned for Oxfordshire.

Taylor Wimpey and a consortium of other developers has outline planning permission for a site south of the A4130 and west of Great Western Park in Didcot.

To be known as Valley Park, it will feature 4,254 homes including 1,489 affordable homes, two new primary schools, shops, sports facilities, playing fields, allotments and open spaces.

The first phase will see 190 private and 103 affordable homes built along with a play area and public open space.

REVEALED: First time buyers must save for an average of 17 years before buying a house

More information about the proposals will be unveiled during a public exhibition at Taylor Wimpey’s former Great Western Park sales office, on Thursday November, 22 between 4pm and 7pm.

The public consultation event will give local residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties the chance to find out more about the scheme and discuss the plans with the developer's project team.

Comments received will help to shape the development proposals.

Those who are unable to attend will be able to access the information displayed at the event online at www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/valleypark from Thursday, November 22.
