The southbound carriageway of the A34 has been fully reopened after a crash involving a van closed one lane.
Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Unit tweeted a photo of the van and its trailer off the southbound carriageway between the Abingdon North and Marcham Interchange junctions.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which happened at lunchtime today, but police visited the scene to recover the vehicle and the carriageway was cleared by about 2.20pm.
The crash and subsequent lane closure means traffic backed up at least two miles towards the Hinksey Hill Interchange.
Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing team warned of delays and asked drivers to find alternative routes.
Collision A34 southbound between Abingdon North and South Junctions. One lane closed, likely to be some delays whilst recovery takes place. Please seek alternative routes. #p1079 #OXONRPU
