MOTORISTS were advised to avoid the A417 near Wantage after a crash this morning.

The eastbound stretch was partially blocked but had been cleared by about 8.30am, and the road is now clear.
The crash happened at the Allin's Lane junction and congestion was tailing back to Wantage.
South Central Ambulance Service was not called out to the scene.
It is the second incident of the morning on the A417 - in Faringdon, traffic was slow after a lorry crash.

A four-vehicle crash on the A34 northbound East Ilsley is also causing major delays just over the Oxfordshire border this morning.
