THAMES Water's public consultation on plans for a huge reservoir near Abingdon finishes tomorrow.

The eight-week consultation followed calls from every political division in the county for a second consultation.

But last week, pressure was mounting from the likes Oxfordshire County Council and local MP Ed Vaizey to hold another Public Inquiry on the proposals, ahead of the consultation ending.

That could delay plans to build the Heathrow-sized facility by 2035.
