A PRIMARY school is set to renovate its playground after receiving a £1,000 grant from a developer.
Persimmon Homes Wessex has given the Sutton Courtenay C of E Primary School the cash boost after its current playground was damaged during building works.
Jessica Lee, from the Friends of Sutton Courtenay School group, said: “We’ve had lots of building work in and around the school and subsequently the school has been greatly disrupted, and many students have been having lessons in porta-cabins.
“We really want to make improvements to the playground, which has been damaged by the works. The children need a safe, stimulating and inspiring place to play."
