BOXING Day walkers have helped the police helicopter find a missing person in Oxfordshire today.
The National Police Air Service (NPAS) team based at RAF Benson near Wallingford shared the news on Twitter.
The crew said walkers in southern Oxfordshire helped located their target before they were able to, and helped bring the search to a close.
They also said the person was now safe.
We’ve just located a missing person from @tvpsouthandvale with the help of members of the public who were out on their Boxing Day walk. Thanks to them the person is now safe 👍 #NPAS999 #p1195 ^LJ

Police in Oxfordshire rely on civilians to help them find missing people, but it is usually the trained volunteers of Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue, OxSAR.
