THERE are just two days left to donate to the Oxford Mail's winter homelessness campaign.
Working with Crisis Skylight Oxford over the past month we have been urging readers to support rough sleepers and anyone currently without permanent accommodation.
The money all goes to Oxford Poverty Action Trust, and what's more, Oxfordshire Community Foundation has pledged to match every pound donated with a pound from its own reserves.
The match-funding pledge ends this weekend, so readers have just today and tomorrow to make a donation and get it doubled.
Oxford Poverty Action Trust supports a number of organisations and charities tackling homelessness, including Crisis Skylight Oxford – one of nine to benefit from the fund.
Kate Cocker, director of the Crisis Skylight's base in George Street, previously urged people to consider whether they could make a donation to the scheme.
She said: “As we all know the number of people sleeping rough is high and we need to do everything we can to support them - in these winter months it is only going to get colder.
“We have received money before from OxPAT and it can make a real difference."
