ANTI-Brexit campaigners are stepping up their campaign in Oxfordshire.

Open Britain Didcot has invited former Government minister and prominent remainer Lord Andrew Adonis to speak at UTC Oxfordshire on Monday, January 14 from 7pm.

Campaigners are targetting local MP Ed Vaizey and hoping to raise awareness about the potential impact of the UK exiting the EU on the hi-tech businesses in the area.

A 'People’s Vote' national day of action has been called for January 12 and activists are holding stalls in Didcot, Wantage and Wallingford from 10am until noon.

Groups have also been formed in Abingdon, Witney, Banbury and Bicester alongside the vocal Oxford group.

Anne-Marie Simpson of Open Britain Didcot said: "We’re asking Ed Vaizey MP help find a way out from party infighting, along with other moderate MPs, by supporting People’s Vote. It’s no longer good enough to say things are fine with Brexit."
