THERE were severe delays on the M40 London-bound this morning following a two-vehicle crash.
Two lanes were closed between Stokenchurch (junction 5) and High Wycombe (junction 4) as a result of the incident at around 5.30am.
Delays of up to two-and-a-half hours were reported.
Highway England confirmed all lanes have since reopened after the vehicles involved, believed to be a car and a minibus, were removed from the carriageway.
The incident had a knock-on effect into morning rush hour.
#M40 southbound between J5 - J4. All lanes are now open following recovery work from a road traffic collision earlier this morning. Severe delays remain but these should start to ease. Thanks for your patience. Have a safe onward journey. pic.twitter.com/ZW8mKzFrAJ
