POLICE are hunting a masked gang who forced their way into a property and assaulted one of the occupants before demanding money.
Officers have launched an investigation into the 'burglary and blackmail' incident which took place at a property in Kimmeridge Road in Cumnor at around 8pm on Monday, January 7.
The victim sustained cuts and bruising but did not require hospital treatment.
Police say the three unknown attackers, who were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, left the property in a car which had been parked close by.
Investigating officer detective constable Matthew Gamble based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information about this incident to contact us.
“I would also like anyone with any CCTV or dash-cam footage that may assist with this investigation to also get in touch.”
