A NUCLEAR warhead convoy passed Oxford yesterday afternoon as it travelled south through the county on its way to Berkshire.
It was monitored by members of the Oxford Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND).
A picture taken by CND member Nigel Day shows the the convoy on the A34 at around 4.30pm as it passes Oxford and Kidlington, before it travelled south past Abingdon and Didcot.
The group said it arrived at the Atomic Weapons Establishment Burghfield, Berkshire at 5.34pm.
On Friday it had travelled south from Yorkshire, and the day before had travelled south across Scotland, from RNAD Coulport to England.
