PLANS to site thousands of new homes across South Oxfordshire will go on display at an exhibition event.

The free, public event will be held on Monday at the Oxsrad Sports and Leisure Centre, Marston.

South Oxfordshire District Council has proposed a new Local Plan which will see thousands of new homes at numerous locations across the district.

The drop-in event is part of a series of events throughout Oxfordshire to discuss the emerging Local Plan 2011 - 2034.

It will be held between 4pm and 8pm and all are welcome to attend.

It comes after a string of controversies about the Local Plan, including the suspension of six Conservative councillors who made objections about the plan.

The event at the sports centre will be the second-to-last consultation event, with one more to be held at Wallingford's Ridgeway Community Church on Saturday, February 16 from 10am to 2pm.
