WORK is moving forward on a scheme to build 200 homes in Abingdon.

David Wilson Homes, which won approval to create the estate on land north west of Dunmore Road in 2017, has now submitted a new reserved matters application to Vale of White Horse District Council.

The documents, which include full details of layout, public spaces and cycle lanes, follow a previous application being withdrawn last year after complaints from councillors and residents.

The developer said it had made changes to include better connection for cycle routes to the town centre, a reduction in the number of four bedroom properties and an increase in two and three bedroom homes, as well as more fully dispersing the 70 affordable within the site.

Adjacent to the A34, the development is part of more than 900 homes planned for North Abingdon.
