It happened just a few months after the owner Amanda Beaumont said another one of her Alpacas was 'attacked and disembowelled' with reports of its guts being pulled out from its body in November.

Funds are now being raised to protect the last remaining Alpaca 'Wallace' as owners fear for his safety.

Oxford Mail:

Writing on the Just Giving page Ms Beaumont said: "My Alpaca Ed was drugged and his eye cut out with a blade.

"The vet tried to saved him, but he died later that day of shock.

"Last year another of my alpacas was attacked and disembowelled.

"I have one remaining alpaca Wallace, I am concerned for his safety.

"The police were called on both attacks and have recommended CCTV. I am trying to raise money for this, the vet bills, and for Ed to be taken away.

"Thank you for your support."
