A POST Office branch is to reopen after a four-month closure.

The Grovelands Shopping Centre branch in Grove is now set to reopen on Friday, April 12, at the Midcounties Co-operative on Savile Way.

December’s temporary closure followed the resignation of the postmaster, the Post Office said.

A spokesman explained: “A new operator has been appointed, providing us with the opportunity to incorporate Post Office services into their existing convenience store.

“The re-opening of Grove Post Office will enable us to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in Grove.

“Post Office services will be delivered from two open-plan tills alongside the retail counter of the store.”

Opening hours will now be 8am – 8pm on Monday to Saturday 10am – 4pm on Sunday. That means the store will offer 78 hours of services a week.

The Post Office is now inviting customers to give their comments on the move.
