RESIDENTS can have their say on controversial plans for new roads in South Oxfordshire tomorrow.

Homes England is consulting on proposals for the bypasses at Stadhampton, Chiselhampton and Cuxham, which would support a proposed 3,000-home development at Chalgrove Airfield.

The government agency said earlier this month that it wants to build homes 'as soon as possible' on the site.

The consultation is at Cuxham Village Hall from 4pm to 8pm, with a second consultation at Stadhampton Village Hall at the same time on Friday.

Homes England is aiming to submit planning applications for the housing estate in the summer, and others for the bypass in Cuxham and in Stadhampton and Chiselhampton in the autumn.

The development is a critical part of South Oxfordshire District Council’s Local Plan, which is set to be decided over the next few months.

The locations of the two consultations are:

  • Thursday 14 March 2019, 4pm-8pm at Cuxham Village Hall, Watlington, Oxford, OX49 5NF
  • Friday 15 March 2019, 4pm - 8pm at Stadhampton Village Hall, The Green, Stadhampton, Oxford, OX44 7UA
