A HOST of time-wasting 999 calls have been logged in one evening by Thames Valley Police as part of its #ThinkBeforeYouDial campaign.
Thames Valley Police tweeted out a number of emergency calls it had received including one report of a couple getting 'steamy' in a takeaway.
The tweet said the force were told 'a couple are getting rather... excited' and were 'refusing to stop' in the unidentified fast food restaurant.

It is not known which fast food shop the tweet was referring to.
Other 999 emergency calls included 'There is a spider in my house' and a caller concerned a potential suspicious food delivery driver as the van had been parked up for 45minutes.
In total the force said in just three hours it had received 174 calls to 999 and 377 calls to 101.
It added that each day it receives on average 20 accidental or pocket dialled calls.

Among its tweets Thames Valley Police said the examples are 'not appropriate for 999, you could be delaying someone who is in immediate danger'.
Adding: "Remember you can also make reports and ask questions online via our website. thamesvalley.police.uk #ThinkBeforeYouDial"
