MORE than £11,000 has been raised for the John Radcliffe Hospital in memory of an 'admired and adored' 24-year-old.

Jack Denslow, from High Wycombe, died at the Oxfordshire hospital on November 29 after a major surgery.

A fundraising page set up by Mr Denslow's wife Charlotte describes how he had been diagnosed with bone cancer in October 2018, and soon after was told he would have to have his right leg amputated.

The page continues: "Though he was shocked and worried, Jacks positivity throughout these few weeks was incredible, his whole outlook on the situation was amazing."

Mr Denslow passed away six days after the major surgery.

A inquest was opened into Mr Denslow's death today at Oxford Coroner's Court and confirmed initial reports show the security technician died from a haemorrhage.

Mr Denslow's wife and partner of eight and a half years has since set up the fundraising page to thank the hospital for the 'outstanding care in the last weeks of his life'.

The fundraising page, which includes updates from Mrs Denslow, has raised £11,120 so far and has a target of raising £20,000.
