BROADWAY musical 42nd Street has rocked up near Abingdon, courtesy of the Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre.

Cast members, part of Oxfordshire County Music Service, are performing at Radley College Theatre today and tomorrow.

Jonathan Cox, senior manager at the Oxfordshire County Music Service, said the production was the result of six months of hard work, both by the cast and professional staff who coach and support them.

He added: "Youth Music Theatre provides amazing opportunities for young people in Oxfordshire to experience being involved in really good quality theatrical productions.

"They rehearse intensively between September and April each year and have built a reputation for outstanding high-quality performance."

There will be performances of 42nd Street at 7.30pm this evening, as well as 2.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow.

Mr Cox added: "There’s also a core of hard-working volunteers, some of whom attend every rehearsal during the year to support this production.

"Without this support Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre would not be able to provide these great opportunities.”
