PROTESTERS have gathered in Abingdon this morning ahead of an expected secret visit of Theresa May.
A group holding anti-Brexit placards have gathered at Long Furlong Community Centre in Abingdon with the Prime Minister reportedly visiting at some point today.

The purpose of Mrs May’s visit is not clear.

Pro-EU campaign group Oxford for Europe said it was having to reschedule its planned stall to protest at the PM's visit.

The last time Mrs May came to Abingdon she received a relatively mixed reception with one resident berating the PM about changes to support for disabled people.

The visit was part of her election campaign tour in 2017.
Mrs May joined then local Conservative election candidate Nicola Blackwood for a whirlwind visit to the town.
