A TRIBUTE concert to American singer and actor Mario Lanza will be held in Wantage this month.
The event – at the Parish Church on Saturday, April 27 – will raise money for the Wantage Summer Arts Festival.
Jim Mitchell, who organises the festival, says the only thing bigger than performer John Hudson's 'thrilling voice' is his personality.
The Wantage in Harmony Community Gospel Choir are also appearing.
Organisers say the event will give audiences a chance to "relive the songs that captured the hearts of a generation, with classics such O Sole Mio, Vesti La Giubba and I'll Walk With God."
Tickets are available from the Vale and Downland Museum for £12.50.
The Wantage Summer Arts Festival runs from June 15 to July 14.
