WITH the Easter holidays in full-swing, neighbourhood police are urging parents to ensure their children are safe at extracurricular activities.
Safety advice shared by neighbourhood police in South Oxon and Vale suggests parents consider appropriate checks such as DBS, and on recruitment procedures for those running clubs.

They recommend asking what safeguarding policies and training those involved in the clubs have had as well as ensuring that any club or organisation is registered with an official body that can regulate them.
Police say that if you have concerns about the safety of a child or the running of an organisation involving children, contact The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 0507666.
