A WARRINGTON Market trader is set to give a talk in Parliament.

Greengrocer Robert Leicester will address the Houses of Parliament next month on the current state of market trading and what the Government can do in order to boost small businesses.

It is the latest accolade for the 20-year-old, who last year was named Young Trader of the Year by the National Market Traders' Federation.

Robert, who runs the Warrington Fruit and Veg stall, said: "This will be by far the proudest moment of my career.

"I've been invited to the Houses of Parliament to give a talk about market trading, and my views on what government changes could be made to help encourage people to get back into their local markets and high streets to ensure the long-term survival of small businesses like my own.

"This is an amazing opportunity for me, and I can't wait to get down there and get my views and opinions across.

"Since becoming an ambassador for the youth of market traders through the UK, I've found myself driven with responsibility to help, encourage and hopefully inspire young people like myself in their early years of trading however I can."
