OXFORD City conceded two late goals as Slough Town ran out 3-1 winners of their clash on Saturday.

The hosts looked like they had doen enough for a share of spoils after Kabongo Tshimanga’s penalty late in the first half.

But Slough scored in the 84th and 87th-minutes to seal victory and keep alive their slim hopes of a play-off spot.

The visitors went ahead in the sixth minute when Warren Harris fired home from outside the box.

City goalkeeper Craig King did well to keep out a Matt Lench effort, before George Wells did find the net, only for the referee to give a foul in the build-up.

The hosts had to wait until the half-hour for their first effort on goal, Eddie Jones trying his luck from distance.

They levelled, however, four minutes before the break when Billy Clifford bundled Reece Fleet over in the box and Tshimanga made no mistake from the spot.

City’s top scorer had a great chance to fire the hosts in front early in the second half, but fired wide.

Tshimanga was then denied by Jack Turner midway through the half – and it proved a key moment.

Slough gradually got on top and took the lead six minutes from time when Wells blasted home.

And they wrapped up victory three minutes later when Francis Amartey scored.

City travel to Bath City today.
