THE countdown to the Wantage Carnival has begun, with the town centre set to see a host of performances from talented local artists.
C U Tuesday will headline the the Ray Collins Charitable Trust sponsored event, which sees all the usual attractions in Market Place on Sunday, June 9, from 11am - 7pm.
The town will also be treated to a parade, giant funfair and performances from Oxfordshire Rock Choir, the American Dance Studio, Wantage Silver Band and The Undercovers.

Organisers say all proceeds from the event 'will go back into the local community'.
The mayor opens the carnival at 12.20pm.
