A LEADING artificial grass firm has completed work on an outdoor installation in Bracknell town centre.

LazyLawn delivered the 170sq metre system onto the steps that lead up to The Lexicon, which means green artificial grass now blankets the outdoor staircase of the shopping centre, with The Lexicons logo printed in bold lettering.

Peter Footitt, production director at LazyLawn, said: “Right across the country, the demand for LazyLawn, both in domestic settings and public spaces, is growing and we are delighted to be leading the way with unique grass step installations such as this one.

“The project has helped to transform the steps leading to The Lexicon, looks especially eye-catching at this time of year.

The design of the shopping centres logo was created at the firms factory in Rutland and has been inlayed into the 30mm green grass turf pile as part of the installation.

Rob Morris the general manager of the The Lexicon believes the new installation encourages residents to socialise.

He added: “Bond Square is a fabulous meeting and performance space within The Lexicon.

“The LazyLawn enhances our giant steps encouraging people to sit and socialise, or spend time listening to one of our musical events.”

The Lexicon is a £250 million retail complex that first opened in 2017 and has played a major role in Bracknell Forest Council’s urban regeneration project.
