A WANTAGE grandmother who was killed after a head-on horror crash on the A338 died from sepsis and multiple organ failure in hospital, a court heard yesterday.

Coroner Darren Salter said that was the conclusion of a pathologist's post mortem report, at a pre-inquest review into the death of Pat Robinson, 70, of Westfield Way. 'Polytrauma' was previously recorded as the cause of death, he added.

Oxford Coroner's Court heard how a full inquest into the case is 'unlikely', after the other driver, Anusha Ranganathan, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving at Oxford Crown Court last month.
