FOUR Oxford University graduates moved closer to becoming Prime Minister this evening but one failed to get through the latest round of voting.

Dominic Raab was eliminated from the Conservative leadership contest after gaining only 30 votes from fellow MPs.

It means that former Henley MP and front runner Boris Johnson, Jeremy Hunt, Sajid Javid and Rory Stewart progressed to face further ballots later this week.

Mr Javid, an Exeter University graduate, is the only one of the remaining candidates who did not study in Oxford.
