OXFORDSHIRE’S teams headed into Formula 1’s mid-season break without scoring a point in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Nico Hulkenberg was the best of the finishers, bringing his Enstone-based Renault home in 12th, with teammate Daniel Ricciardo, who started at the back of the grid due to his power unit being replaced, 14th.

Grove-based Williams were unable to build on their first point of the season in Germany.

But it proved to be another positive weekend for George Russell who, after coming close to making it through to the second round of qualifying for the first time, finished 16th.

Teammate Robert Kubica, who scored the point at Hockenheim, was the final car home in 19th in a race won by Lewis Hamilton.

Kevin Magnussen was 13th for Banbury-based Haas, while Romain Grosjean, who qualified ninth, was forced to retire with a water pressure issue.
