Dear Sir,
I am ninety-five years old.
Last Thursday I went shopping early to escape the intense heat, however, walking home with my shopping I was really struggling.
A young man approached me and offered to carry my shopping, which he carried all the way home.
He lived in Chilton and was awaiting GCSE results for which I wish him every success.
I do hope you will print my letter as I would like him to know how much his help was appreciated.
I don't suppose he will read it but hopefully someone will recognise him – perhaps his proud parents.
We hear so much about young people today but I'm sure there are many more like this kind and thoughtful young man.
Yours sincerely
Kathleen Shaw
