FIREFIGHTERS freed a lost sheep that had become trapped in water under decking in an Oxfordshire village.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 12pm after 'Dolly' was spotted just off Goring High Street.
Passersby had noticed the animal, which appeared to be stuck in water under the elevated decking of an old boathouse in the south Oxfordshire village.

Sharing pictures of the rescue on social media, the fire service, who referred to the sheep as 'Dolly', said: "The On Call Fire crew from Goring were first to arrive and were able to locate and secure the sheep.
"Then with assistance from the water rescue unit using an inflatable ice path it was able to be brought back to dry land and cared for until the local shepherd was located and able to take it back to safety."
