ONE of the greatest jockeys in history will unveil a statue of himself in his home town of Wantage tomorrow.
Lester Piggott, 83, is set to unveil the work ahead of an exhibition celebrating his achievements at the Vale and Downland Museum at an invitation only event.

Mr Piggott, who chalked up nearly 5,000 career race wins, will reveal the statue in the Museum's courtyard at midday, before the 'Born To Ride' exhibition opens to the public on Monday.
Sculptor William Newton has created the 'stunning life-size bronze work', which will be unveiled 71 years to the day since Mr Piggott's first career win.
