ONLINE marketing firm The Evergreen Agency is Oxfordshire’s fastest growing SEO consultancy.

Founded by Aaron Rudman-Hawkins in 2013, the agency has more than doubled in size in the past 12 months and has ambitious growth plans.

It helps local, national and international businesses improve their visibility on internet search engines, via Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) services.

Mr Rudman-Hawkins said the main question clients ask his consultancy is how can they appear on the first page of Google and other search engines.

“Any business has to deserve to rank on Google,” said Mr Rudman-Hawkins, speaking from the consultancy’s new HQ in Stratton Audley, near Bicester.

Oxford Mail:

“They have to be doing and offering something different to be really recognised and valued.

“Too many websites are very similar in terms of content and so will not stand out to a search engine.

“Google values quality Evergreen content and informative information that offers advice and answers questions.

"Essentially it is a huge reference tool, so people need to provide sought-after information to questions that are asked.

“If a business does something online that no-one else is doing and gets the technical side right then they will perform very strongly and visits to their website will go through the roof.”

Mr Rudman-Hawkins launched The Evergreen Agency with some founding values that he said has shaped the business.

“We are always honest and transparent with our clients,” he said.

“SEO can have a bad reputation, so we are steadfast in ensuring we do what we say.

"Providing honest, clear advice and delivering a first-class SEO service is the bedrock of our beliefs and has underpinned our growth.

“We always sit down with our clients and work out their objectives and then devise a plan to ensure we help them climb the Google rankings. "We take a broad view and create a plan that is unique to each client.”

Before founding The Evergreen Agency Mr Rudman-Hawkins worked for a creative web agency and found himself at the early stages of SEO in 2010.

Oxford Mail:

“I was a junior web developer at the time and was asked to look into SEO as it was emerging,” he said.

“I fell in love with it instantly and had found my destiny.

“At the time the use of SEO was poor and was predominantly used for spamming.

"I decided to do it properly and focused on producing detailed content combined with getting the technical side right.

“For the first year it didn’t work, but then Google changed its algorithms.

"It stopped the spamming overnight and our company and clients rocketed to the top of Google, based on the strength of the content I’d produced, and technical work completed over the previous year.

“I was made head of SEO and later joined another company before setting up on my own, once I felt experienced enough.”

“I love transforming and growing business,” said Mr Rudman-Hawkins.

“We have seen some incredible growth statistics from helping our clients perform better online and it’s hugely rewarding to see them flourish.”

The Evergreen Agency now has a team of eight staff and is currently recruiting. Revenue has also more than doubled in the past year.

Mr Rudman-Hawkins added: “I’m told by business experts we are the fastest growing SEO agency in Oxfordshire.
