A CHARITY is fundraising to give young people a night to remember in celebration of their achievements.
Oxfordshire Youth is arranging an awards evening at the New Theatre in May, and has launched a crowdfunding campaign to make it happen.
Organisers of the Youth Awards, sponsored by Blenheim Palace, hope to raise £5,000 to fund the event, tickets for nominees, goodie bags and programmes.
In a video created for the fundraising page, a committee member the charity states: "The event will shine a light on Oxfordshire’s outstanding, hard-working and talented children and young people, who deserve to be celebrated.
"We want it to be bigger and better than ever before. We are looking to raise £5,000 to make the event extra special for our nominees, providing them with goodie bags and little tokens for them to remember the night.
"Whether you can donate to, or share the crowdfunder, any help will be appreciated."
Oxfordshire Youth dates back more than 70 years, and last ran a Youth Awards ceremony at the Oxford theatre n 2014.
The organisation's chief executive Jodie Lloyd-Jones said their ambition is to 'create a positive environment where young people can thrive.'
