RESIDENTS are invited to two public meetings about a voluntary initiative that helps prevent elderly and retired people suffering from loneliness.
Good Neighbour Schemes see volunteers support older, vulnerable and isolated residents by befriending them, offering transport and providing practical help.

Rosie White, the scheme's support coordinator for Oxfordshire, will be at Freeland Village Hall on Friday and the Methodist Church Hall, Long Hanborough, on September 27. Both meetings are at 5pm.
