A PRESSURE group has urged a council to pull its Local Plan.
The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) said the Vale of White Horse District Council's proposal should be withdrawn.
The group has written to all Vale councillors ahead of a scrutiny meeting on Thursday.
It said the levels of housing in Vale should not be decided until Oxford City Council's own housing levels are decided.
It told the councillors: "All that exists to substantiate the unmet need [for the Vale of White Horse] is a 'working assumption' – which specifically means a hypothesis expected to be incorrect – of Oxford’s unmet need made by the Growth Board."
The scrutiny committee will be held at Milton Park from 6.30pm on Thursday.
