TRIBUTES have been paid to an “incredibly kind and caring” father-of-three whose body was found in a wooded area of Chandler’s Ford.

Andrew Pike’s body was discovered in the copse area behind Pilgrims Close in Chandlers Ford.

Now the 30-year-old’s family has come forward to pay their tributes describing him as smart, very family-orientated and someone who loved a good challenge.

One of five siblings, Andrew from Eastleigh was a father to three “gorgeous children”, Rosie, Freya and Rory Pike.

In a tribute posted online, his family have said they are absolutely devastated and heartbroken to hear about his death.

Andrew’s sister, Sophie, said: “I can not believe that this has happened. Words can not describe how heartbroken I am to have lost my big brother.

“You were my brother, my family, someone who loved everyone around you so much. I love you so much Andy, and I am so sorry I did not tell you enough when you were still here.

“I hope you are resting well wherever you are and are now finally free of your constant battle. Goodnight.”

Sophie, 19, has since set up a fundraising page to raise money for Andrew’s funeral and to support his children.

A statement on the page said: “We hope and pray that Andy knew how much he was loved.

“The Pike family of seven may have lost a very special son and big brother, but he will never be forgotten as our memories of him continue.

“We love you, and we hope to see you again soon Andyroo. Thank you to everyone that has tried to help Andy and have shared such kind words about him. We are greatly appreciative of it all.”

Police tape was put up around a pathway and woodland behind Park & St Francis Surgery for several hours on Wednesday.

Police have reported that Andrew’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
