POLICE are searching for a driver who 'fled' following a serious crash but then called it in.
Hanney Road in Steventon was closed for hours on Wednesday night after a car left the carriageway, crashed into a telegraph pole and brought it down, and landed on its roof.
Two people suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and another suffered minor injuries, according to South Central Ambulance Service.
The police helicopter was sent up following the crash at 4.15pm, and Thames Valley Police has now clarified who officers were looking for.

A spokesman said: "There was a search for a male who was not found. We are trying to identify the driver.
"This was not a hit and run, although the driver fled before reporting an RTC."
He revealed that a woman was arrested after the collision but was released without charge.
The ambulance service said the people inside had got themselves out of the car but there were live wires across the road.
All three were taken to hospital.
