FORMER dog kennels in a village near Abingdon are set to be converted into a family home.
The owners of The Old Kennels on Drayton Road, Sutton Courtenay, have applied for planning permission to transform them into habitable housing along with the stable block next door.
Harvey Poole of Old London Road, Benson, near Wallingford, sent his plans to Vale of White Horse District Council earlier this month.

He wrote: "The dog kennels were in use in the 1980s and in the 1990s and were capable of housing up to
35 dogs at any one time. During the winter season there was a 50 per cent uptake of the dog kennels
and during the summer season, 97 per cent of the kennels were used by dogs.
"It is proposed to re-use the existing dog kennels as a residential dwelling and re-use the stable
block as an ancillary office and plant room."
Members of public can see the full planning application online at whitehorsedc.gov.uk using reference code P19/V2555/FUL.
The council is aiming to give Mr Poole a decision by December 18.
