FASHION giant Calvin Klein will talk about transforming a clothing line into a multi-billion pound empire at the Oxford Union next week, joining a star-studded line up of politicians and controversial speakers.

Mr Klein is due to talk about his fashion brand, known for boxer shorts, in the debating chamber on Frewin Court on Monday evening.

The designer will speak after Megan Phelps-Roper talks to another audience at 5pm.

She will talk to the students about her experience leaving the Westboro Baptist Church, which her grandparents set up.

The church became known for its extreme opinions and was the focus of the Louis Theroux’s documentary ‘America’s Most Hated Family’.

The documentary aired in 2011 and Ms Phelps-Roper left a year later in 2012 with her sister Grace.

On Tuesday the Oxford Union will play host to Arron Banks and Sophia Bush.

Mr Banks is the co-founder and director of Leave.EU and is widely considered one of the chief architects of Brexit after donating more than £13 million to anti-EU campaigns such as UKIP's, and funding the unofficial leave campaign in the 2016 referendum.

Ms Bush is best known for her leading role as Brooke Davis in the television series One Tree Hill.

On Wednesday, alternative rock bank Biffy Clyro were due to chat but that event has now been postponed.

John Dellanay, a democratic Presidential candidate, was also due to speak – but this has now been cancelled.

On Thursday the union will host a debate where four people will speak about the question of impeachment that has defined Donald Trump’s presidency.

Bill Clinton’s 1992 Presidential campaign manager James Carville will speak in proposition alongside Rick Wilson who is the author of Everything Trump Touches Dies.

In opposition is Ken Starr the author of the Starr Report and Candace Owens who is a political activist.
