SCHOOL pupils will join an acclaimed choir for a Remembrance concert at Dorchester Abbey.

Chamber Choir of London are collaborating with young singers from across Oxfordshire, for a concert called Do Not Go Gentle.

It will take place at the church in Dorchester tomorrow, on Remembrance Sunday.

The concert is hosted by Radley College near Abingdon, and its director of music Sam Gladstone.

It will mark the culmination of workshops and masterclasses from choral expert Dominic Ellis-Peckham, artistic director of the choir, who has held classes with hundreds of Oxfordshire schoolchildren.

Schools involved include Didcot Girls' School, St Birinus School in Didcot, John Mason School in Abingdon, St Helen and St Katharine, Radley College.

From Oxford, those taking part include Magdalen College School, St Edward's School and Headington School.

Mr Ellis-Peckham said: "We’re delighted to be taking our programmes to so many contrasting venues, and particularly look forward to joining so many young talented singers concert at such a poignant time of remembrance across Europe."

The concert will feature music from Owain Park, Kerry Andrew, Herbert Howells, Vaughan-Williams, Rebecca Dale and a premier from award-winning composer Patrick Hawes.

It starts at 7pm and ticket prices range from £5 to £12.
