STUDENTS rallied outside one of the city's most picturesque landmarks at the weekend to stand in solidarity with the protestors in Hong Kong.
Holding their umbrellas as a shield against the heavy rain, the Oxford University group 'Oxford Stands with Hong Kong' protested outside the Radcliffe Camera on Saturday before marching to the Westgate Centre.
The rally was staged to mark 150 days since the protests in Hong Kong began in June against the proposals to allow an extradition bill to mainland China which were feared could undermine the city's judicial independence.
The bill was withdrawn in September but clashes between police and activists have come increasingly violent with police firing live bullets and protestors attacking officers. One of the Oxford members Stephanie Leung said she was there to raise awareness.
